How to Deactivate your Account - A Step-by-Step Guide

At SecurEducation, we’re committed to providing tools and support to help you achieve your educational and financial goals. However, we understand that there may come a time when you need to deactivate your account. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you through the process.

Important Note Before Deactivating

Before proceeding, consider the following:

1. Funds in Your Account: Ensure you withdraw or transfer all available funds before deactivating.
2. Linked Goals: Any active savings goals or ongoing contributions will be permanently closed.
3. Data Access: Deactivating your account means you will no longer have access to your transaction history, saved goals, or account insights.

Steps to Deactivate Your Account

1. Log in to Your Account
   Open the SecurEducation app or website and log in using your registered email and password.

2. Go to Profile
   Click on the General Settings icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard.

3. Choose Deactivate Account
   Click on proceed to continue

4. Confirm Your Decision
   You’ll be asked to confirm the deactivation and provide a reason for your decision. Choose the option that applies to you and submit your response.

5. Complete Verification
   Confirm the action buy entering your PIN. For security purposes, you may be required to verify your identity via email or a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered phone number.

6. Final Confirmation
   After verification, confirm once more to deactivate your account. You’ll receive an email confirming the successful deactivation.
