How To Create A Savings Goal on SecurEducation

The savings goal is the first step in creating your financial stability and ensuring a stress free academic pursuit. Saving for education expenses can be challenging, but with the SecurEducation app, you can set clear savings goals and track your progress effortlessly. Setting your education savings goal helps you stay focused, track your progress, and achieve financial security. Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating a savings goal.

Step 1: Log in to Your SecurEducation Account

If you haven’t signed up yet, download the SecurEducation app, register, and complete the following setup process.
Once logged in, navigate to the Plan & Track section from the menu item.

 Step 2: Select ‘Create a Savings Goal’

Click on the + icon on the top right corner to create a new savings goal.

Step 3: Define Your Goal

  • Select a program - This is your ongoing or upcoming academic pursuits you entered during your enrollment
  • Select a range - Choose a plan range from the available options: Self Pace, Semester, Session or Program)
  • Give Your Goal a Name – Example: “Next Semester Budget” or “MBA program”
  • Set a start and end date– Enter the date this academic goal will start and when it will be completed.

Step 4: Add your Expenses

  1. Give your expense a Name – Example: “Year 2 tuition ”, "Rent" or “Application fee
  2. Set a Target Amount – Enter how much this expense will cost.
  3. Select the expense category - Choose from the available options: Tuition, Fees/Dues, Accommodation, Books and Supplies, Technology Supplies, Feeding or Transportation)
  4. Choose a Due date– Add the date when this expense is due by.

Add as many expense as you want to make sure all your needs for that academic window is covered


You will be able to view your progress on the dashboard or on the Plan & Track page and get notifications when a payment is due.
